Desde el año 2014 investigamos las posibilidades de las fibras naturales de nuestro entorno para diseñar accesorios sustentables.
Paracas es una localidad de Perú donde surge una cultura originaria considerada síntesis de la sabiduría textil andina recuperamos el bagaje de conocimientos sobre el entorno natural, los tintes y las técnicas que allí se utilizaban
Hoy elegimos la fibra de ágave por sus posibilidades de desarrollo sustentable. Recolectamos las hojas que se desechan y de ella extraemos cuantiosas fibras que se hilan, tejen y tiñen con tintes naturales y artificiales
Nos abocamos a la joyería textil en diálogo con metales y maderas de nuestro entorno, así surgen piezas únicas, elaboradas una a una, que siguen una línea orgánica o figurativa
Surgen personajes que cuentan historias, en prendedores, aros y colgantes, así como pequeñas esculturas que representan el paisaje de nuestras islas, bañados y lagunas.
About Paracas
Since 2014 we have investigated the possibilities of natural fibers in our environment to design sustainable accessories.
Paracas is a town in Peru where the local indigenous cultures came together, creating a unique design style and technique. We recover this wealth of knowledge about the natural environment and use these dyes and the techniques.
Today we choose agave fiber because it can be used sustainably. We collect the leaves that are discarded and from it and we extract large fibers that are spun, woven and dyed with natural and artificial dyes.
We focus on textile jewelry in dialogue with metals and woods from our environment. Thus unique pieces emerge, elaborated one by one, following an organic or figurative line.
Characters emerge that tell stories, in pins, rings and pendants, as well as small sculptures that represent the landscape of our islands, marshes and lagoons.
